"Portrait of a Monster" assignment...one of the best ones I've had all year :heart: I chose Satyrs, obviously, because they're fantastically fun to play around with.

Oh, and the title is taken from the song "The Cult of Dionysus" by The Orion Experience. The image and the song kind of go hand in hand at this point, too XD

We had to do an illustration of a monster and choose from the assigned book - I chose Satyrs, and drew one doing what they love to do best - eating, drinking, and having orgies.

hey honey, long time no talk. :D so i have a question about technique. i just started painting with watercolors, and i was wondering how you painted the water.

Hey! Hope everything's going well with you :) How's school? The water, in this one, if I remember right...I just painted it on a base level as if I was coloring it normally (as if there was no water), then I added in heavy washes of white watercolor and small details of white acrylic after it dried :heart:
